Henrik Wahlstrom
I am a director who has become an Instagram profile in recent years, with the account @henrikwahlstroem . There I write about gender equality, analyze old girls' magazines and mix it with nonsense collected in "parades" with different themes. I also write a lot about mental illness, how we can reduce stigma and start talking more openly about how we feel.

I lecture about living with bipolar disorder, how we can be more open about how we feel and what we all have to gain from it. I adapt the content to different target groups and ages. I am also an ambassador for Mind and help spread their message.
I am particularly passionate about people finding support and perhaps daring to talk about their problems. I myself kept quiet about my diagnosis for 12 years. Those thoughts led to the creation of the symbol that I now call “Uppochner”.

The symbol
It indicates that the wearer has an open and accepting attitude towards mental illness, and can function as a kind of pride symbol. It shows support for those who are struggling, but also shows those who are keeping a diagnosis a secret that they have allies around them who would take the news in a good way if they wanted to tell.
The symbol has spread incredibly quickly through all levels of society, and my hope is that it will help people not remain silent for as many years as I did.
